About the Shelton Republican Town Committee Leadership
The Shelton RTC is led by four officers and an elected Steering Committee.
Chairman Anthony Simonetti
Anthony is serving his first term as RTC Chairman but his involvement with Shelton’s community runs deep. He served on the Board of Aldermen, representing the First Ward, and currently serves as Chairman of the Shelton High School Building Committee.
"I am proud of our Republican Town Committee," Simonetti said. "We have a group of dedicated individuals who want to make Shelton a better place. So many people give their time voluntarily to serve in elected or appointed office - many outside the spotlight. We are lucky to have so many committed people in our community."
Vice Chairman Dan Debicella
Dan has been RTC Vice Chairman since 1998, and has been heavily involved with both Shelton and Connecticut politics. He served as Chairman of Shelton’s Board of Apportionment & Taxation, currently serves on the Connecticut Republican State Central Committee and is an Executive Board member of GOP-4.
Secretary Ann Walsh
Ann is in her second term as RTC Secretary, and has served previous as RTC Treasurer and as a member of Shelton’s Board of Education.
"Shelton has always been my home," Walsh said, "and I am so proud of what Shelton has become. I’ll always do anything I can to help our community."
Treasurer Jean Anderson
Jean is in her second term as RTC Treasurer, and has also served several terms on Shelton’s Library Board. Jean is passionate about our community, and has served on many volunteer committees—from Shelton’s bicentennial to the library building committee - and many more than could be listed here.
